Elizabeth Rees

"Arrangement I"
"Slow Road" 2002 "Suburban Line" 2006 "Soft Palette" 2007
The Main Techniques that intrest me that are in Elizabeth Rees paintings are that she divides her paints up into segments as seen in 2 of the paintings above. Another is that her paintings and figures in the paintings are quite blurry. I would like to involve these techniques in my artworks

Colin McCahon

1 2 3 1)"6 Days in Nelson and Canterbury" 2)"Waterfall" 1964 3)"How the hammer is broken" 1961 In Colin McCahons artworks I like how in some of his paintings he uses text i also like the way he uses wet on wet(as explained in Dick Frizzell Post)

Darcy Nicholas

Stina Perssons

I like Stina Perssons Style of artwork and the use of the mediums ink and watercolour paints
she also has a technique which involves paint the paper first then drawing the
picture on
(I could not aquire the names and dates of these paintings)

Dick Frizzell

"Dark Tree" 2005

I Chose this image because this is an example of his wet on wet paintings. Wet on wet makes it easier to blend colours on the painting instead of the palette

"Its About Time"
(Mickey To Tiki Tu Meke)
Screen Print
I like this Image as the the idea of Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse
Metamorphasizing in to a New Zealand Tiki is quite interesting and has a surreal quality to it.
"Cool Squares"
Screen Print
I like the how the name corresponds to the painting as it has 4 Mr Squares's all wearing fat caps
hence the 'cool' and well you get the rest :D
I would maybe like to use the flat, cartoon technique from Dick Frizzell in my future artworks
this may be difficult as most of his works are screen prints I also like is wet on wet techniques which i used in my 2010 year 11 art portfolio.
